History Wintertime Walk n' Talk Description:
Join the Seeley Lake Historical Society for our annual wintertime Walk N' Talk. We will walk less than a mile among the monarch larch in the the Lars Kramen trail area. We’ll talk about Larch trees and their importance, ecologically and culturally. We will learn about the old timers who grew from these trees, as well as the history of Seeley Lake Cabin leases and forest management. We will also find the location of a Native American candy tree and sweat lodge, a picture of which is in the Historical Museum. Depending on conditions it may be walkable with heavy boots, but snowshoes are always a good option!. Watch for program and condition updates. Ask at slhistory@blackfoot.net.
