Glacier Country Tourism is the officially recognized tourism region for Western Montana. We are inviting the public to participate in town hall meetings and a resident survey to help guide the future of tourism in Western Montana.
The meetings and survey are part of the development of a Destination Stewardship Plan for the eight-county region (Flathead, Glacier, Lake, Lincoln, Mineral, Missoula, Ravalli and Sanders counties). The planning will engage residents, community leaders, public officials, tribal leaders and industry stakeholders over a 10-month process. The plan will create a strategic vision for the future of Glacier Country’s visitor economy to ensure its economic sustainability while preserving the quality of life for residents and quality of place.
The success of this project depends on having engagement from both residents and stakeholders from across the entire region and we hope you will not only participate yourself but help us build awareness of the project and encourage participation in the various outreach events including town hall meetings (beginning November 1) and surveys that go live this week.
